About me

Hi! I’m Rob – your friendly neighbourhood nerd!

I’m a 34-year-old father of two based in Lower Hutt, NZ. I’ve solo operated Neighbourhood Nerd as a side business for 15 years, building websites and PCs in my spare time. I want to make sure that technical familiarity and cost are not barriers to people getting their voices heard online. I take pride in seeing my customers thrive using the tools I made for them. If I can teach a group of 80+ year-old ornithologists how to run a website, I can teach you, too!

I build my websites using WordPress. WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS), which basically means it’s a piece of software that manages all the components of a website, such as media, logins, and page content, providing a platform to build your website on top of.

Extendable

Plugins allow WordPress to grow as you need it. Change default functionality and add new features.

WordPress receives regular security updates to keep your data safe.
